I'm having the same problem now too. I have series 2 tivos. I've been wondering why there weren't any processed shows. When I try to add a rule, tivo quickpick, I get "no shows found on this tivo"

wondering if anyone else getting this, if an update to tivo has made it impossible for TVH to find the shows...

I've just instaled and whenever I try to create a rule it crashes. I've sent a few crash reports in already.

Is there anything that can be done? Some people have written about creating rules "manually", however I can't see a way to do it that doesn't ultimately involve the wizard.

Is the crash due to a timeout from the Tivo maybe?

I do have it working with Tivo Desktop, so I know the PC can connect to the Tivo.

Also, I have tried it both with and without the Tivo services (used by Tivo Desktop running). Which is right?

This looks like a great product and it sounds like it will do everything I need. However no matter how I mess with it, it always says "Can't find any shows on this Tivo" when I try to make a rule. If I do a test under the Tivo settings it is successful. I have tried reloading the Tivo. Is there a compatability issue? I have 3 TivoHD's all running 9.2a all responding the same way.

I got it to work... I did the following...

1. I re-installed autopilot..
2. Followed the install wizard
3. auto discover all my Tivo machines
4. Go to "video sources" => "Source Settings"
5. For each Tivo, "Tivo Settings" in the "Tivo IP Address" set to Manual
6. Set Tivo Rules
7. Start Processsing

I think step #5 is what I missed last time... I would try that first
before re-installing
There is an option to save the original Tivo files (as opposed to just tossing them after conversion). Just select "Edit Sources" and pick your tivo and their should be a backup original option.

OH!!
thats what "backup" means... I thought it meant to backup my entire

tivo drive somewhere first...

Why does it need tivodesktop installed?

I got 3 tivos with 1 of them I got the rules for download 1 show.
After clicking "Start Processing"... nothing happens.. everything is "Idle".

So I end up downloading shows with TivoDesktop then convert using
autopilot.

But can I just use tivoplaylist instead to download?
Does it make any difference?

Thanks!

Ideas and Feature Requests :: There is a video scene with an advertisement. How to add it

Subject: There is a video scene with an advertisement. How to add it
Posted: Tue Feb 05, 2008 9:19 am (GMT -8)
Topic Replies: 0

So, there is some video scene, for example, advertising my site. I want to add it to the beginning or end of 100 flv files,
and don’t want to repeat that operation 100 times, for each flv file.

I’d like to share the way I’ve used to solve the problem.

I’ve used Watermark Master program. It helps in a work as not only applies watermarks on video or images,
but also can operate with folders of files – that enables to add simply even 1000 files at once - supports all video formats,
has all basic functions of montage (Crop, filters, setting of range etc).

And, as a matter of fact, has functions of video montage.
Of course, montage in that program is not very good and isn’t comparable with, for example,
a “premiere” program but enables at once to add scene in wanted position – and it will be added to 1000 added files
(or to 100 as in my case).

If someone has an interest in it, I won’t explain how to do it in details – use wizard. It is full enough and clear at least for me.

Success

If you can't go direct-to-device (due to MS proprietary protocol) then add the option for .WMV encoding to the generic (folder) support. Leverage the Windows Media Encoder to do the encoding, and set a profile that is compatible with the Zune.

I suggest the following feature:

Add an option to create a videocast (rss feed with .mp4 enclosures) for a show. Each of your Tivo season passes would have its own rss feed. Bundle a mini webserver service running on localhost at some odd port number, and then you can simply subscribe to the videocast from iTunes, Zune or other software.
